Six deployments, six different environments

From mobile operator stores to insurance advisors to vehicle financing. Specific processes, specific solutions — and where the customer provided them, specific results too.

O2 Czech Republic

A handwritten digital signature at branded stores replaced standard paper documentation.

What was addressed

Paper documentation at stores slowed down customer service. For contracts with external partners, complicated paperwork meant customers sometimes waited four days for activation.

Solution

Multi-platform deployment across every sales channel — on standard Windows workstations, in Citrix environments, and on Android tablets. Thanks to the robust client-server architecture, any additional device that supports biometric signing can be added at any time.

Result

  • Savings of over 2 million sheets of A4 per year that were previously printed in stores
  • Faster customer service and no more long waits
  • Higher contract security thanks to online transfer to O2's servers
  • A contribution to environmental protection through reduced printing

Thanks to the handwritten digital signature, our customers no longer have to keep any paper documentation…

— Jindřich Fremuth, Director of the Residential Customers Division, O2

T-Mobile CZ and Slovak Telekom

Field signing for the door-to-door division, including customer identity verification via ID document OCR.

What was addressed

Field sales representatives needed to complete contracts digitally, without printing paper and without slow follow-up processing in the back office.

Solution

Software deployed on Samsung Active Tab 2 tablets, where signature biometrics are captured with an S Pen. Signosoft was connected via API to the customer's existing databases and systems; both the server and database run on the customer's infrastructure, which enabled template and user management, form pre-filling, and processing of signed documents.

OCR was added to the signing app for identity verification — data read from the ID document is attached to the contract automatically.

Result

  • Significantly fewer printed documents
  • Faster contract closing and simpler work for sales representatives
  • Higher process security and simpler downstream processing
  • Contracts are closed fully digitally

Vienna Insurance Group

One solution for three Czech group members — Kooperativa, Pojišťovna České spořitelny, and ČPP.

What was addressed

All three projects were similar: the new solution needed to be built into the existing system, not alongside it.

Solution

A handwritten digital signature was integrated directly into VIG's existing contract application. When signing, the user is redirected from the web application to the Signosoft signing server, where the client, advisor, and any additional parties sign.

After signing, the client gets access to all documentation through a repository — logging in via a link the insurer emails and a confirmation SMS code. The signed original is stored in the insurer's long-term electronic archive.

The solution runs on the Signosoft thin client: the document is processed on the server, and the client only displays and signs it. It works on Windows, Android, and iOS. Thanks to the client-server architecture, deployment went smoothly in all three cases.

Result

  • Cost savings across all three Czech group members
  • Simpler work for advisors
  • A higher number of electronically signed and archived contracts

About the company

VIG is one of the largest international insurance groups in Central and Eastern Europe, founded in 1824. It entered Czechoslovakia in the 1980s by founding Kooperativa. In 2018 it merged its subsidiary insurers Pojišťovna České spořitelny and Kooperativa into one; in the Czech Republic it's also represented by Česká podnikatelská pojišťovna.

Mercedes-Benz Financial Services

Signing contracts anywhere — on a tablet in the field and on a signature pad in the office, connected to the existing contract creation and archiving system.

What was addressed

MBFS was looking for a solution that would let sales representatives and customers sign contracts digitally anywhere, including compatibility with signature pads and tablets. The company already used software for contract creation and archiving, so the solution had to build on the existing architecture.

The challenge was the server integration application: building an entirely new application that takes the contract generated by the existing system, optionally edits it, inserts the digital signatures, and sends it back to the archiving system.

Solution

Signosoft delivered a solution matching the brief and the industry's security and legal standards. Our team built, tested, and integrated the application, and recommended a certification authority — the subsequent certification was successful.

Result

  • Employees and customers sign biometrically on tablets and signature pads
  • Signing anywhere — portable tablets in the field, signature pads in offices
  • An automated process — signed contracts go straight to archiving
  • Faster transactions and lower paper consumption
  • The solution is now also being rolled out in the Slovak market

About the company

Mercedes-Benz Financial Services (MBFS) is a captive financial services provider and part of Daimler AG's global finance arm. It provides leasing, financing, and insurance products for authorized dealers and end customers. Contracts were traditionally signed on paper; Daimler AG's emphasis on service quality and sustainability led MBFS to move to a digital solution.

Alza

An offline app for signing contracts on signature pads, connected to storage and customized with Alza's own branding.

What was addressed

Alza wanted to sign contracts and proposals with a Signosoft handwritten signature — to cut paperwork costs and simplify signing processes.

Solution

Our developers built an offline application that generated contracts are sent to for signing. The application then sends all signed contracts and proposals to the storage system. Signosoft assisted with integration into Alza's infrastructure and also supplied the necessary hardware. Alza's promotional graphics were built into the application.

Result

  • Employees sign by hand on signature pads
  • Faster and simpler contract creation, signing, and storage
  • The whole process is automated, and contracts are archived
  • Automation sped up transaction management

About the company

Alza was founded more than two decades ago, originally as Alzasoft in 1994. It became a market leader in 2008 and has won a number of service quality awards. It's a purely Czech joint-stock company with tax residency in the Czech Republic. With its online stores, it's among the largest online consumer electronics retailers in Central Europe; its portfolio also covers hobby, media and entertainment, sport, and beauty.

BEplan Finanční plánování

Signing remotely or in person — without advisor and client always having to meet.

What was addressed

BEplan's leadership came with a specific brief: the solution had to connect via API to the existing company software, support every kind of mobile device, and support on-the-spot signing. Until then, signing required the advisor and client to be physically present, and documentation was needlessly kept on paper.

Solution

BEplan's advisors now send contracts to clients through the Signosoft app. The client can sign without registering, or — if a meeting is needed — sign on the spot. Signed documents are sent to the client and into BEplan's database for further processing.

Result

  • Signing doesn't require both parties to be physically present
  • Simpler paperwork for advisors and a more convenient process for clients
  • Documentation is no longer kept on paper

About the company

BEplan Finanční plánování is a professional financial advisory company, not only for clients of the Bohemia Energy group it belongs to. It provides comprehensive financial planning across insurance, investments, savings, and financing — working with banks, insurance companies, building societies, and investment firms.

What they have in common

Six different industries and six different architectures — but the same signing engine and the same principle: plug into what the customer already has.

  • Integration, not replacement

At VIG, T-Mobile, and MBFS, Signosoft was built into a system the customer already used — the existing software generates the contract, Signosoft signs it, and returns it to the archive.

  • Devices to match the environment

Signature pads at counters and in offices, stylus-equipped tablets in the field, Citrix stations in stores, a phone for remote signing.

  • Less paper, faster process

O2 has the most concrete number: over 2 million sheets of A4 per year that used to be printed in stores.

[TO VERIFY] before publishing. These texts are based on case studies supplied by the team (English PDFs, translated). Before publishing, we need to verify they're current — some describe an older state (Pojišťovna České spořitelny was merged into Kooperativa in 2018, BEplan is listed as part of the Bohemia Energy group) — and that we have written consent from each customer to publish their name, numbers, and quote.
